Screen record without uploading
Some work should never land in a cloud recorder by default — legal, finance, health-adjacent demos, unreleased product, or anything under an NDA. FrameCast is a local Mac studio: you export files you control.
Optional sign-in exists for voice credits and account features. Captions and video briefs still run on device.
Local-first capture
- Floating camera, screen crop, overlays, and recordings stay on your Mac

- Video briefs built locally — you export JSON or a ZIP if you want an AI to see them
- No workspace share link required to finish a take
When you do leave the Mac
Generating a voice-over sends script material for synthesis. Usage statistics can be turned off in General settings and never include video, audio, screen contents, scripts, or file names.
If a tool requires cloud collaboration, that is a separate product decision — FrameCast is not trying to replace workspace comments.
Practical workflow
Record locally → trim in Studio or your editor of choice → share the file through the channel your compliance team already approved.
