Questions
- How can FrameCast cost so much less than Loom?
- Your Mac converts each video for the web before it uploads, so we don't pay a video service to do it. Videos are stored on Cloudflare R2, which doesn't charge for bandwidth. FrameCast is run by one person, and it keeps a healthy margin at these prices.
- What happens to my links if I stop paying?
- Nothing breaks right away. Your newest 25 links stay live on Free. The rest are paused, and they come back if you renew within 30 days.
- Do viewers need an account?
- No. Anyone with the link can watch unless you choose a password, a workspace-only link, or a link limited to your email domain. Guests can comment with just a name.
- Who counts as a Team seat?
- Only people who record and share videos. Viewers and commenters are always free. Adding someone adds a seat, and you pay a prorated amount for the rest of the billing period.
- Is AI voice-over included?
- AI voice-over is paid with voice credits on any plan, from $12.00/month or one-time top-ups of $10.00, $25.00, $50.00. Voice plans started before Pro existed keep Pro features while they last.
- What if I need more storage?
- Pro includes 100 GB and Team 150 GB per seat, pooled across the team. Storage raises any paid plan to 1 TB for $20.00/month. Shared videos never rotate out.
