AI tools & voice-over

Change how the AI voice sounds

Pick an Expressive or Consistent model, a personality and a performance, and add cues like [whispers] to direct how each phrase is read.

Where to find it

Video editor → Voice tab → Voice-over → Voice

How to do it

  1. Set Model to Expressive for a voice that acts a mood, or Consistent for even narration.

  2. With Expressive, choose a Personality, such as Calm guide or Enthusiastic host.

  3. Set Performance: Creative is more expressive, Robust stays closer to the script, Natural is in between.

  4. With Consistent, set Style to Off, Subtle, or Strong.

  5. Type a cue such as [curious], [excited], [whispers], or [sighs] right before a phrase in the text.

  6. Press Preview this voice to hear the delivery for free.

Good to know

  • Creative may depart from the script, so listen before you export. Cues don’t show in captions.
  • On a Mac or iPhone with Apple Intelligence, Suggest voice & delivery from text picks a voice, model, personality and performance for you.
