Web editor & recorder

Edit a video in your browser

Open the web editor, drop in a video, and trim, caption, and export it without installing anything. Your files stay on your computer.

Where to find it

getframecast.com/studio → Add files… (or Import in Media)

The FrameCast web editor with the media library on the left, the preview in the middle, caption settings on the right, and the timeline below.

How to do it

  1. Go to getframecast.com/studio in Chrome, Edge, or Safari.

  2. Drag a video onto the preview, or press Add files… and choose videos, images, or audio.

  3. The video goes on the timeline. Press Space to play and pause.

  4. Use the tabs on the right (Edit, Frame, Captions, Cleanup, Narration, Voice) to change the selected clip or the whole project.

  5. Press Export at the top right when you're done.

Good to know

  • Importing, editing, and exporting all happen in the browser. Nothing leaves your computer unless you save to the cloud or copy a link.
  • On a narrow window, Media and Edit in the header open the library and the editing panels.
