Export an MP4 from the web editor

Render your edit as MP4 (H.264 or HEVC) or WebM on your computer, with the size, quality, and frame rate you pick, then download it.

Where to find it

Web editor → Export

How to do it

  1. Press Export at the top right. The Export video window opens.

  2. Choose a Format: MP4 · H.264, MP4 · HEVC, or WebM.

  3. Pick a Size (Original, 4K, 1080p, 720p, 480p), a Quality, and a Frame rate.

  4. Press Export MP4 (or Export WebM) and keep the tab open while it renders.

  5. Press Download to save the file, or Save to cloud to put it in your FrameCast Files.

Good to know

  • Exporting to a file is free and nothing is uploaded. Your choices are remembered for next time.
  • Browsers can't encode ProRes. Use the Mac app for it. If the browser can't encode a codec at that size, the dialog says which one it uses instead.
  • Save audio under Audio only saves the timeline's sound as an M4A file.
