Record your screen

Find your recordings after you stop

Each take waits as a thumbnail in the corner to copy, share, edit, or save. Shared takes stay in Recent Links. Save a copy to keep a take for good.

Where to find it

Recording thumbnail (bottom-left corner) → More

How to do it

  1. When you stop, a thumbnail of the take appears in the bottom-left corner.

  2. Point at it for quick buttons such as Copy and Edit. Open More for Save to Downloads, Save As…, Show in Finder, and Open in QuickTime Player.

  3. For a take you shared, open Recent Links in the menu bar, pick it, and choose Edit Video….

  4. Save panels open in Movies › FrameCast.

Good to know

  • Takes kept for the thumbnail and for editing a shared link are removed after 30 days, or sooner once they pass 20 GB. Use Save to Downloads or Save As… to keep one.
  • Projects you save from the editor are on the Projects page in the studio.
