Record your screen
Record your screen with your camera
Start a recording from the studio, the menu bar, or ⇧⌘R. FrameCast records the whole display at full resolution with your floating camera in it.
Where to find it
Studio → Screen recording → Start Recording
How to do it
Turn on the floating camera if you want to be in the take. See “Show your camera on screen”.
Open the studio and choose Screen recording. Pick your audio under Record.
Press Start Recording, or press ⇧⌘R in any app.
Press ⇧⌘R again, or Stop Recording in the menu bar, to finish.
A thumbnail of the take appears in the corner. Use it to copy, share, or press Edit to open it in the editor.
Good to know
- Takes keep every pixel of the display, so there’s no shape to choose first. Pick Reel, Square, or any shape in the editor afterwards.
- Frame rate (24, 30, or 60 fps) is under Picture on the Screen recording page.
- Turn off Show a thumbnail afterwards on the Screenshots page and recordings open straight in the editor.
- Who can use it
- Free; share links need sign-in
- Where it works
- Mac
