Show FrameCast itself in a recording

Demo mode includes FrameCast’s own chrome, like the viewport, shortcut list, and screenshot tools, in recordings and screenshots, for showing the app off.

Where to find it

Studio → Settings → Demo → Demo mode

How to do it

  1. Open the studio and choose Settings. Under Demo, turn on Demo mode. Or press ⇧⌥⌘D.

  2. Record or take screenshots. The viewport, shortcut list, capture bar, thumbnails, and overlays that are normally hidden are included.

  3. Turn Demo mode off before a real take.

Good to know

  • The editor and the studio window stay visible either way.
  • To hide or show one overlay in recordings, use its Visible in screen recordings setting instead.
