A host turns on notes for live captions, a transcript by speaker, and an AI summary with decisions and action items after the meeting.
Where to find it
In a call → More → Turn on notes and AI summary
How to do it
As host, open More and choose Turn on notes and AI summary. Everyone sees a Notes badge.
Press Turn on captions (the CC button) to see live captions.
Open More → Transcript to read, search, and download the transcript so far.
To change the language you speak, open More → Microphone, speaker and camera → Language you speak.
Good to know
- Each person's own browser transcribes their own microphone while they're unmuted. Chrome, Edge, and Safari can; Firefox can't, so its users' words aren't in the notes.
- The Mac and iPhone apps use Apple's speech recognition in the system language and ask for speech permission the first time. Hosts use Turn on notes in the more (…) menu; Show captions shows captions.
- Meetings under about 30 words aren't summarized.
- Who can use it
