Update FrameCast on your Mac

FrameCast checks for updates itself. Install a new version from the menu bar or the studio sidebar, and FrameCast reopens on its own.

Where to find it

Menu bar → Check for Updates…

How to do it

  1. Click the FrameCast icon in the menu bar and choose Check for Updates…. Or click Check for updates beside the version number at the bottom of the studio sidebar.

  2. If a new version is ready, press Update Now. Press Later or Skip This Version to wait.

  3. FrameCast downloads, installs, and reopens by itself.

  4. If something keeps FrameCast open, save your work and press Quit and Install.

Good to know

  • You can’t install an update during a recording. Finish the take first.
  • If an update fails, press Try Again, or Download from the Site to replace the app by hand.
  • Your version and build number are at the bottom of the studio sidebar.
