Reframe one take for every feed

FrameCast records the whole display at full resolution. You do not have to pick a vertical or square frame before you press record. After you stop, export a Reel, a square, a portrait, and a widescreen cut from the same take.

The crop can follow the mouse, with smoothing, and ease in on clicks and typing. The app notes that you clicked or typed. It does not record which keys, unless you turn the key overlay on.

The FrameCast studio overview, with camera and look, overlays, screen recording, and video briefs in the sidebar.

Shapes you can export

The same project can be exported more than once. Each export is free.

  • 16:9 for YouTube and slides
  • 4:5 for an Instagram feed
  • 1:1 for LinkedIn and X
  • 9:16 for Reels, TikTok, and Shorts
  • Follow the mouse, or hold the crop where you place it
  • Zoom on clicks, including in the web editor

Camera stays in the shot

Pin the floating camera inside the recording frame and it rides with the crop. Shapes, a ring, a shadow, blur, a flat color, or a cutout are part of the free camera, not a paid look pack.

Post the file, or post a link

Export the cut you need and upload it where you already post. Or share a FrameCast link. Free includes 25 live share links, up to 30 minutes each, at 1080p. A series of customer demos is the moment Pro pays for itself: $5.00/month, $60.00 billed yearly, with unlimited links and viewer insights.

Questions

Do I have to record twice for a Reel and a YouTube video?
No. The recording keeps the whole screen. Export each shape from that take. The web editor can reframe a video you already have, too.
Is reframing free?
Yes. Aspect ratio, follow-the-mouse, and zoom on clicks do not require a plan.
What is the highest export resolution?
Local export can be original size or up to 4K, and it will not scale a smaller video up. A free share link is delivered at up to 1080p. Pro shares in 4K.
Does zoom on clicks record my keystrokes?
The zoom uses the fact that you clicked or typed. It does not store which keys. The optional key overlay is separate, and it will show keys on screen if you leave it on.
