Export from the iPhone editor as MP4, HEVC, ProRes, or GIF

Export your edit as a new recording (MP4 or HEVC) or as a ProRes or GIF file to send or save to Photos. The original is never changed.

Where to find it

Editor → Output tab, then Export

How to do it

  1. In the editor, open the Output tab and choose a Format.

  2. Set the Quality (or the ProRes Profile), the Resolution, and for a GIF the Frame rate, Colors, Dither, and Playback.

  3. Turn on Polish voice under Audio finishing if you want cleaner sound.

  4. Tap Export at the top right.

  5. MP4 and HEVC open as a new recording marked Edited from the original. For ProRes or GIF, tap Send file or Save to Photos.

Good to know

  • Result shows the estimated file size before you export.
  • Audio finishing runs on your iPhone and doesn't use voice credits.
