Pin the camera inside the recording frame

Lock the camera inside the screen-capture crop so it rides along as the crop moves and zooms, and stays in the shot in the editor.

Where to find it

Studio → Camera & look → Size & Position → Pin to capture frame

How to do it

  1. Open the studio, choose Camera & look, and turn on Pin to capture frame. Or choose Pin to Capture Frame in the menu bar.

  2. A viewport appears on the display, and the camera moves inside it.

  3. Place and size the camera inside the viewport. It scales when the viewport zooms.

  4. Record. In the editor, the Recorded viewport motion keeps the crop on the same path, so your face stays in the shot.

Good to know

  • Labels and photos have their own Pin to capture frame in their Window card on the Overlays page.
  • Unlock Lock aspect ratio if you want the camera to stretch with the frame.
