Edit a recording

Put a video or image on top of another (picture-in-picture)

Each video and image sits in its own box on the canvas. Drag it to move, drag its handles to resize, and set fit and opacity.

Where to find it

Editor → preview → click a clip → Edit tab → Frame

How to do it

  1. Place the video or image on a track above the main one. Higher tracks draw on top.

  2. Move the playhead over it, then click it in the preview to select it.

  3. Drag its body to move it; it snaps to the canvas edges and center. Drag a handle to resize it.

  4. In the Frame card, type exact X, Y, W and H values, use the align buttons, or set Opacity.

Good to know

  • Corners keep the box’s shape while Keep shape when resizing is on. Hold Shift while dragging to do the opposite.
  • Reset position puts the clip back to filling the canvas. For the recording, it reads Fill the canvas.
