Stop an iPhone recording from the Dynamic Island or Lock Screen
While you record, a Live Activity shows the timer with a Stop button on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island, so you can stop without opening FrameCast.
Where to find it
Dynamic Island or Lock Screen → Stop
How to do it
Touch and hold the Dynamic Island, or look at the Lock Screen, to see the recording's timer.
Tap Stop. Or tap the Live Activity to open the controls and tap Stop Recording.
FrameCast shows Saving your recording while it finishes the file and the link.
Good to know
- If a recording keeps going after you stop it, tap Still recording? Stop from the system sheet on the Record tab.
- You can also stop from the red status indicator at the top of the screen.
