Stitch several screenshots into one

Press ⇧⌘1 and choose Several Areas to drag out one area after another. FrameCast joins them top to bottom or side by side, with a live preview, into one screenshot.

Where to find it

⇧⌘1 → Several Areas, or ⇧⌘5 → capture bar → More → Stitch Areas

How to do it

  1. Press ⇧⌘1 and choose Several Areas, or press A. From the capture bar, choose More → Stitch Areas.

  2. Drag over the first area. The panel shows it in a preview.

  3. Press Add Area, or ⇧⌘1, and drag over the next one. Repeat for as many as you need; Undo removes the last.

  4. Pick top to bottom or side by side with the two layout buttons, and watch the preview change.

  5. Press Done. The joined screenshot appears in the corner like any other, copied and kept on the Screenshots page.

Good to know

  • Areas can come from different windows, apps, or displays.
  • Press Esc or Cancel to throw the whole stitch away.
  • For one long page, a scrolling capture is quicker. See “Take a scrolling screenshot of a long page”.
