Edit a recording

Zoom in on clicks automatically

Auto zoom eases in on each click and while you type, pans between nearby clicks, and eases back out. No keyframes to set.

Where to find it

Editor → select the recording → Crop → Motion → Auto zoom on clicks

How to do it

  1. Click the recording on the timeline to select it.

  2. If the canvas has a shape such as Reel or Landscape, set Motion in the Crop card to Auto zoom on clicks.

  3. Set Zoom in, from 1.2× to 3×, for how close it gets.

  4. At Full frame, turn on Auto zoom on clicks and typing in the Crop card instead.

  5. Press Space to watch it in the preview.

Good to know

  • It works on recordings made with FrameCast, which log where you clicked and when you typed, never which keys.
  • A recording made before click logging zooms where the cursor comes to rest. A video opened from a file has no cursor log.
