FrameCast vs OneDrive for Business

OneDrive for a company is a Microsoft 365 library, often with SharePoint behind it, plus Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. The OneDrive plans page checked October 12, 2026 lists personal and family prices. It does not list a business seat, so this article does not invent one.
FrameCast is the narrower product: My Files on your own plan, and a drive for each team at $20.00/month or $220.00/year with 1 TB. It does not co-author Office files, and it does not sync a Windows PC.

When FrameCast is the better fit
You are not buying Office
If the crew already has Microsoft 365, OneDrive may already be paid for. If they need a photo drive and a recorder, a FrameCast team is $20.00 a month for that crew.
Two companies, one email
Someone who belongs to two teams does not keep two FrameCast logins. Each team’s admins see that team’s drive, not My Files, and not the other team.
A watch link, not only a file
A screen recording saved into the team can be a watch page. OneDrive will store the file. The watch page is the FrameCast piece.
Fair tradeoffs
Choose OneDrive for Business when the files are Office documents, the PCs are Windows, or the company already runs Microsoft 365. FrameCast does not replace that admin console, and it has no SSO. The personal OneDrive prices above were checked October 12, 2026. Confirm any business seat on Microsoft’s own page before you compare a number this article does not print.
